Provides efficient and real-time device access and management during the entire device life cycle with minimal power and data consumptions.

 

  • M2M Communication and Processing Engine
The process engine can process device status in real time, the built-in message engine processing can realize M2M by distributing message data to sensing terminals or back end services according to the rule engine.

 

Rule-based engine allows for easy management and real-time redirection and distribution of Machine-to-Machine inter-process communications and routing.

Supports private or public deployment environment leveraging flexible and modularized micro-service architecture for security management, resource allocations, and information access.

Massive data access and analysis processing ability support statistics, analysis, discovery of laws and machine learning of historical data; the stream data based on ESP can process the event trigger alarm engine in time and ensure that abnormal data is immediately recognized.

Application empowerment platform allows for rapid customized application development by providing standard ready made modules for Cloud integration services, user management, and device registration and control. Average development period can be reduced by 50% when compared with traditional development process.

End-to end security, OMA-DM protocol and multiple platforms and operating systems are supported.

Supports end-to-end secured, multi-OS Over-The-Air firmware updates based on certified OMA-DM protocol with easy administration management and intelligenet error correction capabilities.

Function introduction


IoT Cloud Solution includes four major components: 1) Device Management Platform, 2) FOTA Update Platform, 3) Application Empowerment Platform, and 4) Data Analysis Platform. All components in the Thundercomm's comprehensive IoT Cloud Solution is built from the ground up specifically designed for the IoT smart devices and industries.

1. The device management platform is a one-stop E2E IoT solution that supports private and public global deployment. Its main functions are terminal device access management, device life cycle management, device shadow management, rule engine configuration, M2M, device status management and device data analysis. Data of all devices can be stored in the Cloud. Synchronous correlated calculation can be completed between the data and edge computing equipment to forge flexible IoT solutions. The core solution architecture of the device management platform is depicted in the following diagram:

 
 

 

The platform supports 3 protocols including MQTT, HTTPs and COAP to supporting device connection management based on the device life cycle. It supports real-time device status query and operation management providing device shadowing, device status analysis, data analysis and other functions. A complete API and SDK are provided for custom application development.
2. FOTA supports smart phones, tablets, TVs, set-top boxes and vehicle equipment of various architectures, as well as all kinds of intelligent IoT terminals. The flexible GUI tools can help manufacturers develop complete systems, applications, firmware and even upgrade packages for drivers. FOTA passed the OMA-DM certification can provide OEM with a kind of system upgrading solution that is secured reliable, flexible and easy to use and maintain.

Currently, Thundercomm's FOTA solution provides a framework of securities, algorithms and high reliability and availability functionalities during device updates (Robust backup, recovery, failure debug), as well as multi-partition processing (Uboot, Modem, BOOT, System, Userdata, Recovery, etc.).

 

 

It supports multiple technology platforms (Qualcomm, Samsung, Spreadtrum, MTK, Intel, etc.) and provides the API and SDK for custom development and enhancement.

3. Data analysis platform provides functions including real-time data processing, batch processing data framework, real-time aggregating, processing, analyzing and summarizing, correlation analysis of data of IoT devices and service scenarios, as well as data visualization.
 





 


By importing device data from the device management platform and application level data integrating with third party information (CRM/ERP), the data analysis platform can perform complete data analysis and visualization. The resulting analysis information can be exported to external systems or devices for process improvements or product enhancements.

4. The application empowerment platform provides IoT developers ability for quick Proof of Concept development, and then rapid product development, deployment, enhancement, and re-deployment.
 





The application empowerment platform orchestrates the DMP, DAP, FOTA and third party resources, such as IT resources, to form the rapid service model for IoT application development that will shorten the structured development life-cycle and expedite the speed of IoT application development to the market.
